Bio Note: Arne Engström is Associate Professor of Mathematics Education at Karlstad University, Sweden. His PhD thesis dealt with students’ construction of mathematical knowledge in the case of fractions from a radical constructivist perspective. His main research interest is in low achievement in mathematics.
