Abstract
Open peer commentary on the article “Précis of The Philosophy of Affordances” by Manuel Heras-Escribano. Abstract: I build on Heras-Escribano’s ontological characterization to address issues of affordances related to mathematics education, particularly about how it can enable fruitful conceptualizations for understanding mathematical problem-solving processes. This leads me to address the emergent and evolving nature of affordances in mathematical solving processes.
