Abstract
Open peer commentary on the article “Phenomenological Properties of Perceptual Presence: A Constructivist Grounded Theory Approach” by Aleš Oblak, Asena Boyadzhieva & Jure Bon. Abstract: Once we identify the properties of perceptual presence, we have a conceptual toolbox for systematically inspecting perceptual presence in various domains of human activity. To demonstrate one such application of the four phenomenological properties identified by Oblak and colleagues, I use the properties in reflecting on the difference between in-person conversations and video calls.
