Bio Note: Álvaro I. Langer is a clinical psychologist and has a master’s degree in functional analysis of the University of Almería (UAL), Spain, and a doctoral degree in psychology from the same university. He is currently an associate professor and Director of the Institute of Psychological Studies of the Faculty of Medicine at the Universidad Austral de Chile (UACH), deputy director of the ANID, Millennium Science Initiative Program, Millennium Nucleus to Improve the Mental Health of Adolescents and Youths (Imhay) and researcher of the ANID, Millennium Science Initiative Program, Millennium Institute for Research in Depression and Personality (MIDAP). His research interests address the topics of prevention and promotion in mental health, psychosocial interventions based on mindfulness, and the study of social and cultural variables linked to the health/disease process. Alvaro is founder and researcher at the Mind-Body Lab.
