Bio Note: David Vernon is a Professor of Informatics at the University of Skövde, Sweden. He works on cognitive systems and is particularly interested in modeling autonomy. Over the past 34 years, he has held positions at Westinghouse Electric, Trinity College Dublin, the European Commission, the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, Science Foundation Ireland, and Khalifa University, UAE.
