Bio Note: Andreas Quale was born in Norway in 1938, and grew up in Norway and Australia. He studied mathematics and physics at the University of Oslo, graduating with a doctoral degree in 1974, with a dissertation in mathematical physics. He taught extensively at college and university level in mathematics, physics and computer science. Between 1995 and 2005 Quale was first Associate Professor at the NKI Computer College in Oslo, then Associate Professor at the University of Oslo. In 2005 he retired. He published a number of papers on science education, text books for upper secondary school level, and the book, Radical Constructivism: A Relativist Epistemic Approach to Science Education (2008). Andreas Quale passed away on 24 May 2016.
