Bio Note: Daniel Polani is Professor of AI, Director of the Centre for Computer Science and Informatics Research and Head of the Adaptive Systems Research Group at the University of Hertfordshire, UK. He works on information-theoretic principles of cognition, intelligence and robotics. This includes practical applications, but also abstract questions, embodiment, intrinsic motivation, and fundamental issues of cognitive science, biology and physics. Former President of the RoboCup Federation, he aims at understanding and closing the gap between artificially and naturally intelligent systems.
