Author: Diego Cosmelli Sánchez
Bio Note: Diego Cosmelli is a biochemist by training but went on to obtain a PhD in cognitive sciences from École Polytechnique, France, working on conscious experience from an integrated phenomenological and brain dynamics perspective. He then did his postdoctoral training at the Department of Philosophy of York University, Toronto, Canada, on philosophical aspects of cognitive science. He is currently full professor at the School of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he leads the Psychophysiology Lab. He is also an Associate Researcher at the Millennium Institute for Research in Depression and Personality (MIDAP). His research interests focus on attentional expertise, sensorimotor coordination and the relationship between contemplative practices and well-being.
