Bio Note: Eduardo Ravanal is a Bachelor of Biological Sciences (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile), Teacher of Biology and Natural Sciences (Universidad Mayor) and Doctor of Education (Universidad Academia de Humanismo Cristiano). He is a visiting professor in Master’s and Doctorate programs in Science Education in Chile and Colombia. His field of research is the knowledge and development of biology teachers. He currently directs a project on the relationship between teacher reasoning and pedagogical content knowledge with national research funds. He is a faculty member of Education at Universidad Santo Tomás, Chile, as a researcher and director of the Master’s program in Innovative Teaching Practices for Higher Education and director of the Science and Teaching Foundation.
