Bio Note: Eric Muller is a Fellow of the Fields Institute for Research in the Mathematical Sciences and has published in areas of Theoretical Physics, Operations Research and Mathematics Education. Eric is Professor Emeritus at Brock University and was Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics when the MICA courses were developed. Since his retirement in 2004, he has been fortunate to have the opportunity to collaborate with Chantal Buteau in her SSHRC-funded research project, which focuses on students’ exploring and learning of mathematical concepts and applications in the programming environment within the MICA courses.
