Bio Note: Itay Shani graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a PhD in philosophy (2004). He is now a professor of philosophy at Sun Yat Sen University in Zhuhai, China. He specializes in the philosophy of mind and has published articles on mental representation, embodied cognition, panpsychism, the metaphysics of consciousness, science and religion, and more. He is keenly interested in systems theory, quantum consciousness, process philosophy, and the history of western metaphysics. He is currently working on a book about existential meaning.
