Bio Note: Maja Smrdu is a clinical psychologist, sports psychologist and psychotherapist. She works at the Institute of Sport Psychology, Health Centre Koper and the University of Primorska, FAMNIT in Koper, Slovenia, where she is a researcher and lecturer on the topics of qualitative research, mental health and neuropsychology. She obtained her PhD from the University in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on the topic of phenomenology of the self and ethics. Her research interests are in the areas of mental health, self, ethics, embodiment, and neuropsychology. Methodologically and epistemologically, she seeks to combine phenomenology with an enactive approach to incorporate both into her practical work.
