Bio Note: María-José Escobar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María and Associate Researcher at the Advanced Center of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (AC3E), Valparaíso, Chile. Her main research interests relate to biological vision, computational neuroscience and cognitive robotics. She is currently studying computational strategies performed by the mammalian retina, specifically related to motion processing. For more details, see http://profesores.elo.utfsm.cl/~mjescobar
