Bio Note: Peter Weibel studied literature, mathematics, philosophy and film in Paris and Vienna. He wrote his doctoral thesis on modal logic. A former artistic director of Ars Electronica in Linz, he is since 1999 CEO of the Center for Art and Media (ZKM) in Karlsruhe. In 2004 he received a honorary doctorate from the Helskinki University of Art and Design. He is working as a poly-artist, art and media theoretician, and exhibition curator. His publications include Das offene Werk (2007) and some eight volumes he edited with the MIT Press.
