Bio Note: Roger Booth has researched and taught at the University of Auckland for over 40 years. His research initially centered on the role of cytokines in immune regulation and later, the relationships between emotions and immunity and the effect of those relationships on responses to vaccines and wound healing. In 1994, he was fortunate to attend a 3-day workshop run by Humberto Maturana. As a passionate teacher and educator, he subsequently developed an undergraduate course called “Human Mind and Body Relationships” incorporating the ideas of Maturana and Varela
