Bio Note: Roy Dings investigates the interplay between our identities (including, e.g., our self-narratives and social roles) and our embodied engagement with the our environment. As a PhD researcher at Radboud University Nijmegen he applied this line of thinking to psychiatric contexts. As a postdoctoral researcher at Ruhr-University Bochum he applies this line of thinking to see how embodiment and narrativity interact with autobiographical memory. In the context of these projects, he has published several papers on phenomenology and affordances
