Bio Note: Thérèse Dooley is a lecturer in mathematics education in St. Patrick’s College, Dublin. In her PhD thesis, completed at the University of Cambridge, she explored the abstraction of new mathematical ideas by primary pupils in whole-class interaction. Her research interests include equity, creativity, teacher knowledge, and curriculum development as they pertain to mathematics education.
