Bio Note: Wendy Ross is a senior lecturer in psychology at London Metropolitan University. She is vice president of the Possibility Studies Network and co-chair of the Serendipity Society as well as an elected member of the British Psychological Society’s Cognitive Section. Her research looks at the relationship between cognition and materials, especially in the domain of creativity. She is particularly interested in the cognitive states of impasse and uncertainty and how they impact our tendency to capitalize on fortuitous hints from accidents.
